What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file stored on a device when a website is visited. Cookies allow a site to remember settings, recognise a returning visitor, or gather anonymous information about how pages are used. Cookies do not, by themselves, identify a person by name.
How consent is collected on this site
On first visit, a panel appears allowing a visitor to accept all cookie categories, reject non-essential categories, or review each category individually before deciding. The choice is stored in a cookie named gi_consent so the panel does not reappear on every page load. Categories explained
Necessary cookies cannot be disabled through the consent panel because the website cannot function correctly without them, such as remembering that a cookie choice was already made. Analytics cookies help understand, in aggregate and anonymised form, which pages are visited and how; they are only activated with explicit consent. Functional cookies support convenience features such as remembering a language choice. Marketing cookies would support advertising measurement and are only activated if a visitor opts in.
Managing or withdrawing consent
Preferences can be adjusted at any time using the cookie panel, reopened via the link in the site footer, or by deleting cookies through browser settings, which resets all stored preferences. Most browsers also allow blocking cookies entirely, though this may affect how parts of the site function.
Third-party cookies
Where Analytics or Marketing categories are accepted, certain cookies are set by third-party service providers rather than directly by Gizeru Clinic. These providers process data under their own privacy terms in addition to this policy.
